Lazy Donkey Mexican Restaurant - Chile Colorado Entrée #food #shorts

Love the Chile Colorado served at The Lazy Donkey Mexican Restaurant in Moore, OK!

First discovered the Chile Colorado dish while living in Virginia Beach, VA at the Plaza Azteca Restaurant.

Made with strips of beef in a spicy red sauce, it was both delicious and filling. However, after moving back to Texas, I was unable to find a restaurant that served the Chile Colorado that my taste buds enjoyed in Virginia.

There is a close contender served by Tino's Too in Plano, TX called the Steak Picado (See past posts at Tino's Too).  It is different than the Chile Colorado but was suitable replacement to keep my craving for the dish in check.

Fortunately, I found a restaurant in Oklahoma that mirrors Plaza Azteca's Chile Colorado! The meat is cut in cubes instead of strips, but all else is the same.

The Lazy Donkey's Chile Colorado is the dish for this "Chile Colorado Connoisseur"! Do give them a try if ever in Oklahoma - specifically, Moore Oklahoma!

Volcano Sushi Bar and Hibachi

Volcano Sushi Bar and Hibachi for dinner while on the road. Went with sushi with salads, tempura, and a Guinness, too!

Jimmy's Egg for Breakfast

Oh by the way... forgot to add the breakfast at Jimmy's Egg in Oklahoma last weekend. Large portions, tasty food, and reasonable prices, all makes sense that Jimm'y Egg is rated the number one place for breakfast in Oklahoma City!

Will be back for more Chicken Fried Steak... comes with various sides; went with Hash Browns, Eggs cooked to order, and Biscuits with Sausage Gravy! Also, we ordered the Oklahoma style Eggs Benedict.

All were good!

Pei Wei for Din, Din

While in Oklahoma last weekend, stopped at Pei Wei for dinner. Forgot they changed the serving style - combo meals instead of family style plates. No worries... went with Mongolian Beef, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chicken Lettuce Wraps. All were tasty!

Luigi's Restaurant in Moore, OK

Dinner at Luigi's in Oklahoma - specifically, Moore, Oklahoma. Tried the Calamari for an appetizer, then went with the Chicken Piccata and Spicy Chicken Alfredo. Another place with reasonable prices and filling portions!

Alfredo's Mexican Cafe in Moore, OK

New place we tried in Moore, OK - Alfredo's Mexican Cafe. Dinner came with a variety of dips with chips! All were tasty. Ordered Pork in a Verde Sauce, Tortilla Soup, and the Especiale that came with Beef Fajita Chunks, Eggs, Rice, and Beans! Lots of food for hungry appetites.

Will be back to try Alfredo's again when we are in the area!
