A little something for lunch at the Garage behind Spoons in downtown McKinney. Ordered Nachos and a Cider. Tasty stuff! Charlie had a great time, too! Plan to be back for more dishes... for now it's Cider and apps!

Lunch at Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill in McKinney Today... #cajunrestaurant

Had lunch at Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill in McKinney. Went with Dirty Balls for appetizers... rice and sausage fried, and then smothered with a tasty sauce. Then, ordered Boiled Crawfish, Tilapia Pontchartrain, and a Creole Burger. Tasty meal with a Rahr Paletade Mango beer to wash things down!

The Pub in Mckinney

Reposting from our wine blog... The Pub in Mckinney offered wine and whiskey and lots of craft beer. That said, do like this appetizer... loaded fries!

Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill in Mckinney

Been to Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill in Mckinney once before when it first opened. Liked it but never made it back until last night. Food is tasty and spicy, still liking it! Went with the Catfish Zydeco and Dirty Balls appetizers as well as salad and a bisque soap.

Spoons in Old Downtown Mckinney

Had a bite at Spoons in Old Downtown Mckinney. Went with a BLTA Sandwich with Soup! Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avacado was tasty. Soup was a Potato Soup with lots of bacon bits. Would come back to try other dishes, maybe the Chicken Fried Steak... would hold on the Queso and Salsa, different taste that others may like.

Mckinney Oktoberfest...

Had fun this past weekend in Mckinney at the Oktoberfest! Lots of food, beer, wine, and music. This round we tried several bratwurst, local brewery offerings, and some wine! Tasty, tasty, tasty! Even saw a Lemur at the petting zoo area.

La Michoacana Meat Market Deli... Taste Testing Continues for the "Best Tasting Breakfast Taco Red Sauce and Green Sauce"

Quest continues for the best tasting Breakfast Taco Red and Green Sauces.

This round did not make the taste test requirements as the Chorizo over-powered the tacos and did not include eggs or potatoes.

However, the Red and Green Sauces are promising! That said, we post it as an entry to refer to later in the year!

The Red Sauce is spicy, and we feel the Green Sauce is similar to the New Braunfels' Sac-N-Pac.

More Taste Testing for the 2015 Quest for "Best Tasting Breakfast Taco Red Sauce and Green Sauce"

More taste testing while we search for While You Are Dining's "Best Tasting Breakfast Taco Red Sauce and Green Sauce". This round it's the Shell Station on the Northeast corner of El Dorado and McDonald in Mckinney, Texas.

Tasty, creamy, and spicy Red Sauce but no Green Sauce. Another pleasant surprise... the Breakfast Tacos tasted good without sauce like yesterday's tacos from Fast Zack's in Allen.

Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill, Mckinney, Texas

Having left Cafe Malaga disappointed, decided to walk around Old Downtown Mckinney. Saw several places that looked promising for dinner. Finally decided to give Bayou Jack's Cajun Grill a try. Glad we did!

Had Blackened Rainbow Trout with Vegetables and Dirty Rice. Also ordered a cup of Red Beans and Rice and Gumbo and (of course) a Margarita. All were tasty; made even better that dessert was Pecan Pie with a Bourbon Sauce a'la mode!

Coming back again to try other items on the menu! Great service; great food!

The Pub for Appetizers

Stopped by The Pub in McKinney last night for some brewskis and appetizers. Tried their Cheesy Fries. Went well with the ales we "tasted"... ;-)

McKinney Oktoberfest - Alaskan Reindeer Sausage

Was having a great time eating and drinking at McKinney's Oktoberfest!  Tried many foods, beers, and wines... this one stood out for us - Alaskan Reindeer Sausage.  Ordered it with grilled onions and chips; satisfied the appetite and enabled us to hoist a few more brewskis!

Hank's Grill, McKinney, Texas

Went to Hank's Grill in McKinney, Texas the other day.  Roger Creager was playing that night.  Great tunes!  While listening and having a few cold ones, decided to have a bite.  Ordered Fried Pickles and a Chicken Fried Steak.  Fried Pickles were tasty! Liked the Chicken Fried Steak, too... only issue was it needs to be a larger portion.  Else, all was good!

Ruggeri's Ristorante - McKinney, Texas

Tried a new place for Italian Food. This one is located in downtown McKinney.  It is Ruggeri's Ristorante.  Outstanding food, outstanding service,... pricey but tasty meals were enjoyed!  Went with a Seafood Linguine and Minestrone Soup;  others went with Chicken Marsala!  Also, had Bruscheta for appetizers.  Will be back to enjoy the food and service.

Churchill's Pub - McKinney, Texas

Was in the mood for some wine and spirits.  Decided on a local pub in our area.  Churchill's Pub located in downtown McKinney.  Liked the upstairs atmosphere with lots to drink and even went with a round of darts!  For food, how about Chips and Queso and Fish and Chips! 

Rockfish Seafood Grill (McKinney)

Went for seafood last night for dinner.  Ordered Fried Calamari, New England Clam Chowder, Roasted Jalapeno Cream Soup (not pictured), Cedar Plank Salmon, Fish Tacos, and Caesar Salad with Blackened Chicken!  Yum, yum, yum... was well fed but then went over the top with the Fudge Brownie Ala Mode!
