Late dinner while in Gruene, TX. Opted for a light meal of Tortilla Soup and Salad. Liking this one; filled the hunger pangs without feeling overly stuffed afterwards!

Gruene River Grill - Mexican Martinis!

Going to have to try having dinner at the Gruene River Grill at some point. Was passing through waiting to pick up some folks, Decided to stop by and have a few drinks. Discovered a tasty but potent drink - the Mexican Martini!

Strong drinks that don't taste strong but they are! Limit yourself to two, else you will bee slurring with the rest of us Drunks!

Cantina Del Rio in Gruene

Stopped in Gruene for Sunday Lunch this past weekend. Ordered Fajitas and gorged on the Chips and Salsa. Salsa was fresh made and tasty! Fajitas were hot and tasty with excellent side orders of Beans, Rice, Guacamole, Pico De Gallo, Cheese, and Sour Cream!

Checked out the Grist Mill in Gruene, Texas last night for Dinner. Steve Earle was next door at Gruene Hall! Sounded like a grea show. No worries though... had a great meal of Steak and Shrimp with a "pile" of Fried Onion Rings!

Out for dinner last week; decided on the Grist Mill in Gruene for Chicken Fried Steak!  Was well satisfied... tummy was full!

Carne Guisada at Adobe Verde

While in Gruene today, decided to get a bite for lunch.  Went with a Mexican Food Restaurant called the Adobe Verde.  Been here in the past and was pleased.  This remained the same after having their version of Carne Guisada!  Tasty, tasty, tasty....

Grist Mill, Gruene, Texas

Made a stop last night in Gruene to enjoy a dinner at a local favorite... the Grist Mill.  We like this restaurant, even when it is busy, because it is right next to Gruene Hall so we can enjoy some good tunes while we wait for our table.  Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and left with a satisfied appetite!  Like the proportion of servings; like the Chicken Fried Steak; gravy has a hint of sweetness that we are okay with.  Also, ordered a Caesar Salad that is mixed with Pico De Gallo; liked it as well!
