Lupe Tortillas in College Station

Had lunch at a new place - Lupe Tortillas in College Station. Looked promising with lots of reviews of tasty drinks and dishes to try. This round went with the Carne Asada, Chips with Beans and Salsa, throw in the sauteed green onions, and a plate of Ice Cream and Sopapillas... someone left with a full tummy!

Carne Asada was tasty; tender and juicy with a hint of lime coupled with the charbroiled taste made this one high on the list of Carne Asadas. Will try this one again in the future!

Salsa was good but the Bean Dip was better. Almost like a Bean Soup instead of a Dip; still a very good topping for the chips!

So, after chowing down a meal, a good amount of chips and salsa/bean dip, went the extra step and ordered Sopapillas.

Glad we did... liked the Ice Cream and Honey that was served with them! Oh well, looks like an extra mile or two this next week is needed to recover from this overload of calories!

Chuy's in College Station

Lunch at Chuy's in College Station. Ordered Fajita Tacos and had the Jalapeno Cream Sauce. Tasty lunch while on the road!

Cheddars, College Station

Cheddars in College Station for lunch. Went with Chicken Fried Steak and Apple Pie ala mode... Tasty!

Johnny Carino's

Some tasty food at Johnny Carino's!  Went with Calamari for appetizers and then make your Pasta - Angel Hair Pasta, Spicy Marinara, and Italian Sausage!

IHOP, College Station

Late night out; stopped at the IHOP and had Chicker Fried Steak and Eggs!  Tasty, tasty, tasty!

Blackwater Draw, College Station

Was in the College Station the other day and had a quick bite at Blackwater Draw.  Going to pass on the Gumbo going forward; stick with the BYOB Burger.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse

Was in College Station, Texas the other day and had a hankering for lunch somewhere... decided on BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse.  Ordered appetizers and then a Personal Deep Dish Pizza with a Side Salad. And, then has a beer with it - Pirahna Ale (I think it's called).  Tasty meal, tasty brew!

Taco Cabana (College Station, Texas)

More food to be had while out and about... stopped a Taco Cabana for the Happy Hour.  Ordered a Fajita Bowl and a Margarita!  Noticed a new item in the Salsa Bar - Jalapeno Ranch Salsa.  Nice topping on our Fajita Bowl!

Fitzwilly's (College Station, Texas)

Stopped at a favored watering hole at the old alma mater.  Ordered Lonestar Beer on tap and then a Burger.  Beers were tasty, burger was filling, game of darts made for entertaining after meal activities!

Cheddars (College Station)

Has lunch yesterday while in College Station.  Decided on Cheddars as the Lunch Menu is reasonably priced and is filling!  Ordered the Blackened Grilled Salmon with Rice, Green Beans, and Red Beans and Rice.

Dixie Chicken (College Station)

Was hungry last night. What to do when on the road....  Have a beer and a Chicken Fried Steak!  This round it happened to be at the old alma mater in College Station, Texas.  Tasty but mainly because we were hungry and out howling at the moon!

Texas Roadhouse - College Station

While on the road this weekend, stopped at the Texas Roadhouse in College Station.  Ordered their version of Outback's Blooming Onion and liked it!  Then, went with a Caesar Salad, Loaded Baked Potato, and Country Fried Sirloin.  Was a filling meal but given a choice, prefer the Chicken Fried Steak at Toby Kieth's Bar and Grill at the Winstar Casino.
