Spring Creek Barbecue (Tyler)
One the road today. Stopped in Tyler, Texas for lunch. Opted for Spring Creek Barbecue for some Pepper Sausage, Beans, Potato Salad, Jalapenos, Onions, and Biscuits. It hit the spot!

Gloria's for Dinner
Was out last night hankering for Gloria's for Dinner. Piled the family into the car and headed to Gloria's in Fairview. Once there, had the usual fare - Margaritas, Queso, Salsa, Black Bean Dip and Chips, Fried Plantains, Quesadillas, and Nachos. But, this time also ordered the Tilapia. Giving this one a thumbs up - tasty fish!

Texas Roadhouse - College Station
While on the road this weekend, stopped at the Texas Roadhouse in College Station. Ordered their version of Outback's Blooming Onion and liked it! Then, went with a Caesar Salad, Loaded Baked Potato, and Country Fried Sirloin. Was a filling meal but given a choice, prefer the Chicken Fried Steak at Toby Kieth's Bar and Grill at the Winstar Casino.

Kobe Japanese Steakhouse - Austin
More tasty food to try while out and about. This time it's Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. Tried the Steak, Chicken, and Shrimp all cooked over the hot grill by a Chef who could handle sharp knives over a hot grill. Food was good, Chef had us laughing, and in some of our party's cases - belts needed to be loosened! Like the restaurant but given a choice, still give Shogun in McKinney the choice over others though.
Southwestern University Commons
Had a chance to try Southwestern University's Commons special event menu for the 2012 Commencement Ceremonies. Been awhile since having college campus food. In this case, SU's Commons did not disappoint. Forgot about counting calories and ate a lot. Ham was really good, liked the Tomato Bisque, and best of all was the Apple Cobbler (not pictured). Easily gained pounds from this meal.
